June 2020!
In May, we read the book METAHUMAN, by Deepak Chopra. The book is about going beyond “what you see is what you get.” Without going beyond the old and conventional, there would be no new thoughts, art, book or scientific discoveries. Deepak Chopra elaborates that we spend so much time worrying to improve our lives (bigger house, new car, etc), and so little to improve our reality (present moment).
At the end of the book he provides us with a 31 daily exercise plan. Deepak Chopra refers to this as “A Month of Awakening.” The process of waking up is simply self awareness. Waking up is dismantling the conditioning that keeps us unable to be self fulfilled. By no means am I saying that a month of journaling can undo all of our conditioning, but it is a great start!
So, instead of having a new book for the month of June, we will do the 31 Day Journal exercises!
*You are welcome to participate in this Month of Awakening, even if you have not read the book.*
31 Days of Reflection: Daily Journal Exercises for a Month of Awakening.
Every day, I will post days exercise plan from Metahuman. Deepak Chopra encourages us to have a journal devoted to this. Record your thoughts and reflection in your journal 1-3 times a day. Remember, this is supposed to be a flexible exercise. Do make this a chore, make it something to look forward to. Be open minded when doing these exercises.
I will also be posting some quotes from metahuman that really impacted me. Feel free to share some quotes you like and share your thoughts.
31 Days of Reflection is starts June 1st, but you can jump in at anytime.
